Mike, a customer of Capt. Chris Gatley's Ardent Angler, was out fishing with live herrings and eels and collecting data for analysis on live baits versus artificial lures. He pretty much wore out the live baits and did not have one single bite with them. Although the day turned out to be a sunny and blue sky day, it was a tough day not just for him, but everyone on the water trying the same thing. Luckily, the Fishbelly 9" Kick-S Shad #28 (Greenback color) resembling a green eel saved the day. He was able to bring in a respectable 25-inch striper on board.

  • looks like a resident.. Susky flats is the only place to be in April ; )

  • The only other guy who can catch fish all year in the delaware is Dick Manners. The Delaware is an overlooked river. Great fishing!
