  • U make no sense comparing Schumacher and Raimi. U act like Raimi's Spider-Man films were collectively hated. Most comic fans loved Spider-Man 1 & 2. Before Nolan's batman Spider-Man 2 was considered the best comic book movie

  • And I would still think water is the best tasting drink ever if nothing else had been invented. Collectively, as a movie going culture, our tastes will improve & change even if a director's style doesn't. Sure they thought 1&2 were good, I'd think bread & water was good if I'd never had anything better (Batman Begins & Iron Man).

  • When u look at both Iron Man & both Batman movies, Faveau & Nolan wow use with their visual storytelling, much like a comic artist. When you have an "artist" director, like Schumacher & Raimi, they think THEIR vision AND story ideas should take precendent over anyone else's - including the liasons from the property owners. Nolan & Favreau didn't alter the story to make is THEIR vision of the character. They just used existing material we all know & love & showed us in THEIR style.

  • Plus, I've always thought that Tobey was too dorky looking even for Peter Parker & Kirsten wasn't pretty enough to be MJ. Will I miss the Bruce Campbell cameos? Hell yes. He steals every scene he's in. I'll also miss J.K. Timmons as JJ Jameson.

I'm not denying that it was cool to see Spidey o the big screen, swinging thru NYC or the first battle with Doc Ock or even the Sandman, but as a whole - the Spider-Man movies were simply not as well done as they could have been.

  • Apparently Elisha Cuthbert auditioned for Mary Jane, she might have been better.

  • There is no might about it. She has both the looks and the sass to pull off MJ. What Raimi saw in Dunst, we may never know.

  • 1:08 - 1:14... You're both idiots. Kirsten Dunst is hot. Don't be jealous of her bank account. Yes their are hotter women out there, but she was a great MJ. The so-called 'reboot' is a desperate attempt to keep the franchise alive, when in acuality, they should'n't've even discussed a 4th film with the original cast/director. 3 movies was enough. Leave it be. I wouldn't waste my time seeing the new movie fellas, you'll be even more disappointed with it than Spiderman 3. Guarenteed.

  • I was watching ''the secret of my success'', an old Michael J. Fox movie recently and i thought he would have made the perfect Peter Parker/Spider-Man!

  • While Spidey 3 was an abomination for sure, you two missed the mark completely. The first two Spidey films were great! They were movies you didn't have to be a comic book fan to enjoy, and they were full of heart. You two sound like bad stereotypes of comic book nerds you might see on a Simpsons episode. These films will not get better without Rami, they will get worse.

  • I disagree I thought Spider-Man 3 was the best film that year!

  • Hey, Griz looks like Brandon Routh!

  • all the marvel movies that have been done have sucked... except the ones done by marvel studios!!! ghostrider(graphics sucked) 1st hulk(ba\\d storyline) f4(pushed it, but did ok.) Please... someone tell them to stop making stupid marvel movies like spiderman 4 just to say we made another movie, and start doing ones the way marvel studios does, like incredible hulk, and ironman!!!!!!!!

  • yeah that was smart getting the zombie land guys to do deadpool and possibly venom (thats a maybe now since spidey is getting rebooted)

  • the best adaptations are the ones that focuse on one story, and not a cluster fuck (like xmen 3 or spiderman 3) amount of stories scrampled together into one inconsistent mess. spiderman 1 @ 2, xmen 1 @ 2 focused on one or two stories. although I cant wait for xmen first class, with bryan singer directing, hopefully this time he'll give equal screen time to all the characters. its also so post to be covering the magento/xavier story lines. and deadpool will be sick nasty

  • man fuck the spiderman and fantastic four reboots Im just waiting for iron man 2 to come out now. Its just sony and fox getting desperate to hold on to the rights so they dont go back to people who actually care about these characters rather than just the money.

I think personally fox should have done silver surfer, FF3, and end it with FF4

and sony could have made like 5 or 6 more spiderman movies and maybe a venom spin off, sorta like the freddy, jason, and james bond films

  • It's J.K. Simmons.
