A baby raccoon decided to a nap in my backyard

We've been dealing with raccoon problems lately, but I haven't seen the big girl lately, thought she was gone from the area. Then I saw this little guy wandering around in my backyard. So grabbed my camera. He looked lost and didn't know where to go. He was shy first, then started to come close towards me, so I tried feeding him some cucumbers and that's when the little bugger came right for my finger. After about 15 minutes I guess he got tired, and decided to take a little nap. This is around end of May, so it still gets chilly at night. I went out later on to check up on the little guy, but he was gone. Maybe the mother came for him, or maybe some birds of prey got him.

yeah they are very cute, there is no question about that! but they can get very destructive once they find their way into the house. unfortunately it's been an issue for us recently. :(

Make sure they don't get in your house, but there's no reason you can't befriend and help them!

Seen from an environmental perspective, you and your HOUSE are the giant problem, not a few tiny raccoons!

do u need a permit to own one
