Make sure they don't get in your house, but there's no reason you can't befriend and help them!
Seen from an environmental perspective, you and your HOUSE are the giant problem, not a few tiny raccoons!

yeah they are very cute, there is no question about that! but they can get very destructive once they find their way into the house. unfortunately it's been an issue for us recently. :(
