One of my great heroes - I do not hesitate to rank him alongside Bob, Neil, and a very short list of the greatest singer-songwriters of the last fifty years.

@ulfpulf upside down capo 2nd fret....leave the low e string open, becomes sort of dropped e tuning...a steve favourite..(copperhead rd, ellis unit one). Chords are d a and g with bminor bridge

Great stuff. But don't give 94.9 any credit they don't deserve. They would never, ever, ever play a Steve Earl single on the air. Halloran does these interview bits on occasion, but Most of them suck. This one was good. But I guarantee you, no S.E. single has ever been played since.

yo geek...where did anyone post on the s.e. video comments any credit to us? if someone had then i could understand your dismay. but i fear that you whining is clouding the reason i posted this in the first place. peeps need to see how amazing this session was/is it has nothing to do with record labels and or singles we do or don't play. so enjoy it for what it is...cool?
