@TheSciFiCat Or it could simply be a group animal instinct. "If I flip this guy over there are two of us (safety in numbers)." A simpler more selfish logic.

@itsourmusic Because they don't have to reconcile duality. They don't experience the same sort of inner turmoil that humans deal with on a regular basis. When they see one of their own who's been beaten and robbed, they don't have to think to themself: "Did the bandits leave the person lying there half-dead as a trap or others? Or is that person dead already?"
