GHADR-1 IRAN A BIG MILITARY PARADE READY TO DEFENCE 09-2007

Ghadr-1 NEW MISSIL PRESENTATIONS
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here Saturday stressed that Tehran believes the regional states are capable of establishing security in the best possible manner in the entire region.

The remark was part of a speech delivered by the Iranian president in a ceremony to mark the Sacred Defence Week marking the anniversary of the Iraqi imposed war (Sept. 22, 1980).

The ceremony started here this morning in the premises of the mausoleum of the Founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in establishment of full security, peace and brotherhood in the entire region, Ahmadinejad said adding that the Iranian armed forces are always at the service of peace, security, friendship, justice and progress of nations.

Iran's self-sufficient, committed, united, skilled and powerful armed forces, which are equipped with the most modern defense facilities, are ready to defend the spiritual aspirations, identity and independence of the Islamic Iran with all their strength, he added.

History has proved that violators of the Iranian nation's rights have been defeated, he said.

"Those who believe that through rotten means, such as
psychological warfare and economic sanctions, they could hinder progress of the Iranian nation are wrong," he said adding that the Iranian people are currently equipped with the most developed technology.

The president further praised the Iranian armed forces for their achievements with the least facilities during the 1980-88 Iraqi imposed war.

During the Sacred Defense years, the enemies used all their military, political and economic potentials to break down the resolve of the Iranians but the Iranian nation foiled all those conspiracies and made the enemies feel embarrassed and humiliated.

After Ahmadinejad's speech, exemplary units of the Armed Forces, the Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Islamic Republic of Iran Police (IRIP) marched in uniform before the president in a show of military and defense power.
