At first you think this is a bit slight and forgettable but I found it stayed in my head all day and I have since listened to it a dozen times.
I had a similar reaction to a tune by TS Monk "The Last of the Wicked Romancers"and that became a firm favourite over the years.
The Minnie Riperton connection makes it especially poignant.

This album and this being the second song on side 2 is my favorite. I played this album over and over back in 1981 and I have to say the first two songs on side 2 were mesmorizing. Today it still sounds just as hot now as it did then. Love you Syretta and may your voice ring in the heavens. RIP.

Thank you its really a balancing act, I just didn't find the right one when taking it off the record. I didn't know that this song was a dedication to Minnie that's pretty cool it really is a great song.
