Masterharper of Pern CD- Fire Lizard

Music all about Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern book series.
The dragons' smaller cousin, fire lizards are indigenous to Pern. They're great companions, and can even fight Thread. Their usefulness was apparent to the original settlers, but knowledge of them was lost during the Second Long Interval, and weren't rediscovered until during the Ninth Pass.

I'm looking for the Running Song...where Menolly gets caught out in the open during thread fall....My feet took off, and my legs went too, and my body was obliged to follow. I have it on a 30 year old cassette, and not sure how much longer it will last. lol Hoping I can find a more recent recording.

@LadyShesu that song is "Run!" on their Sunset's Gold album, but it's not on the one I uploaded these songs from. you can buy it from iTunes or from their website if you want it, though :)

and you can probably find it on Youtube somewhere.

I'll admit, I was sort of disappointed. I was sort of expecting Menolly's Fire Lizard Song. : \ You know, 'The little queen all golden/Flew hissing at the sea./To turn each wave/Her clutch to save/She flew forth bravely."? And I'm just saying, I dislike the new cover for 'Dragon Song." I have the original cover and it is fantastical.

that song is on their new CD, Sunset's Gold. it's called The Little Queen

i think the original Dragon Song cover is awesome as well :)

I would love to find any of these songs on CD somewhere. Do the regular music stores carry them? I just don't do the online ordering thing much.

@blessedbyacurse Thank you. I have found it. I actually still have the cassette that I bought way back then. But it's old and fragile and I'm afraid to play it. But I did find it on Wry'dmusicman's site.
