  • Thanks for the review because I wanted to buy one!

  • @TheCreativeJournal No problem, bud, that's what I'm here for.

  • Dude, What the hell is in it. How does it work?

What makes it so it responds to the trackpad?

    Real bits of human finger?

I thought I could just cheap out n the the backside if a new felt tip. (I know, stupid but worth a try) To no avail.

I do not wanna pay for a flimsy POS. Can I hack this somehow?

    Cheers mate.

  • I honestly have no idea. I think it mimics the static field from the human finger. Try to find a way to do that.

  • Totally worth buying. Is there anywhere to buy it that doesn't involve buying it on the Internet? I don't have a credit card

  • I don't believe it's available at retail. You have heard of Mastercard Giftcards, right? Go to any grocery store and buy one for twenty five bucks and you can use it identical to a credit card until it runs out.

  • @Pajes01 the foam in the end is electroconductive. the electrical impulses from your fingers travel through the conductive aluminium and through the squishy foam so it SEEMS like there is a finger touching the surface.

  • it works great for ipad

  • You have to have inklet if you are using this on an MBP. It makes a big difference. It adds the "double tap" functionality but instead of double-tapping you hold the pen still to start a connection. still evaluating whether this is worth the 70+ bux I have in it... you have to have the snow leopard upgrade- 10.6 to install inklet (I was in 10.5.8). That was 30 dollars I didn't realize I was going to have to spend :s Fun to play with though; not sure about the pressure sensitivity.

  • Actually, I think how it works, is that it's metal. The foam at the end is probably also metal based.. Metal, touching metal, touching finger works. Infact, I just made a cheap pen for my ipod out of rolled up tin foil, a piece of paper towel taped to the end, and a bit of water to wet the paper towel(just a little)... Works awesome, cept i gotta keep wetting it :P

  • what a laaaame review
