Pauline van der Meer Mohr and becoming an entrepreneur

Pauline van der Meer Mohr knows the advantages of being an entrepreneur from experience:

1) Entrepreneurs are the growth engine of our economy: They create new sectors, create prosperity and make things happen.

2) Entrepreneurs have control over their own destiny. Entrepreneurs rely on themselves to make decisions and manage their business.

3) Entrepreneurs have a great peer group. Entrepreneurs have so much energy, drive, ambition, and are an exciting group of people to surround yourself with. As an entrepreneur, you will be encouraged by other achievement-oriented people.

Before joining Erasmus, Pauline was a social entrepreneur for two years. In that time, she learned how rewarding it was to create something from scratch. However, she also learned how challenging it could be.

Entrepreneurs don't have the traditional support system found in a big company. They have to rely on themselves, and build own support network (see One Minute Education "The Importance of your Network" here [link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq7tYWRt8DI]). However, if you can overcome these challenges, it is a great learning experience.
