PS don't mind my shameless self promotion. Baha. You can search "Mata Hari Candy Apple Kids" on youtube as well.

Like it!

Ahh, I see.
That would certainly work. The style in which I play would never necessitate blending triplets with 4/4 time so... for my own purposes I think my method is best but to blend the two the delay would be the better method.

Wow, interesting music, i like it!!!

Thank you for replying. I have autism so I find it hard to understand what all the words mean that people say and I find it easier to just play along with it live as it makes more sense. I will try and record something in audacity.

Hmmm... unusual way to do it. The delay method must be pretty restrictive.
You are not actually limited to 16 beats, you can reduce the number of beats in a pattern.
I created my own triplet beat DS-10 video by reducing the number of beats per pattern to 12 instead of 16. That way you can get genuine triplet beats.

You need to use the delay if you want triplets, 8ths and 16th notes in the same pattern.
And you don't have to use the delay if you lower the gate time, only the one shot produces the triplet.

I promise you, you don't need to use the delay.
You just need to reduce the number of beats per pattern to 12.
You can use the delay if you want but it isn't as flexible that way.
Look at my video, Triplet beats on DS-10. Silly tune.
I didn't use the delay to create the triplet beat, I just lowered the beats per pattern from 16 to 12. It's easy.
I will soon post up a tutorial video showing how to do it.

I understand how to do that.
What I wanted though was a song in 4/4 time with some touches of triplets. Some more polyrhythmic effects, so that's why I used the delay... so I could keep the 16 pattern in tact...since I wanted to use those sort of rhythms too.
What I did was set the delay to what I wanted the triplet to feel like... then changed the bpm to match the triplet delay pattern.
I like polyrhythms and I've been playing around with ways to implement them on the Korg DS-10...

I have this software too for my DS but I am just leaning how to use it. I have mostly been making music up using one pattern and then changing it a lot in the Synth 1 & 2 edit sections and using the patch bays so that I make an entire song from one pattern being changed as I play live. I was wondering how you have actually recorded this music? Did you just connect the DS to your PC and then use some software to record it? Sorry for the long comment.

Yeah, I just hooked it up to my computer and recorded it in Audacity, and used some it's built it effects to amplify it. I only have a mono patch cable though. You're making music just about the opposite way of me :). I'm horrible at playing things live, so I just cued up everything in song mode. It's kind of tricky to get all the parts to flow nicely though, for the filter sweeps and such...
