Even after over one century ago, the truth has still been tried to be concealed, because the old sign said that there were 150 warriors present at the massacre. The truth is, there were only 40 warriors. The newest sign at the beginning of this records the truth of there being 40 warriors. It was 46 "medals of honor" if memory serves from information from an original news article from "Lakota Times" at the site of the massacre itself. It was not merely 20 medals of honor. All such "medals of honor" should be revoked, period.

  • my ears feel wounded after listening to david burkhart trying to play a flute

  • @jjenniferstone Thank you, this was the hardest song I ever did to get right. When I went down there, I realized the chaotic part after the call (the long notes before the drums enter) had to be the people running.

  • @jjenniferstone It's in the spirit musically of Shostakovitch's 11th, the Allegro section "referring to the events of the Bloody Sunday" h tt p: / / e n . wi ki p e d i a . o r g / w iki/Symphony_No._11_%28Shostakovich%29

Not that I'm any where near the composer he was, but that's the musical influence.

  • Good video and refrences, it is very educating. I am also Native American, I am Cherokee, and Catawba. My people had The Trail of Tears happen to them. It's so sad to hear of all these tragedys that happened to all NDN tribes when the settlers moved in and took over. =(

  • Thank you Mr3cKo25.

Indeed, very sad and very depressing. Too much so for words...Thank you again. Brent

  • @poshportia62 I WOULD LOVE TO SCALP YOU AND TAKE YOU TO PINE RIDGE/WOUNDED KNEE

  • The 7th Cavalry was entrapped the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. The 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers rescued the 7th Cavalry.

Read the novel, Rescue at Pine ridge, the story of the rescue of the famed 7th Cavalry by the Buffalo Soldiers, and visit website; rescue at pine ridge. com. The novel embodies Native Americans, Outlaws and Buffalo Soldiers, in the days of the Native American Wars with the approach USA. Story is about, brutality, compassion, reprisal, bravery, heroism and gallantry.

  • So much for Yellow Bird's bullet proof shirts. Reminds me of Isatai, who claimed that he could change the weather, bring the dead back to life, and had his own particular ritual for stopping bullets. His ritual didn't go so well either. Good thing that some didn't go to Adobe Walls that day with him and the rest.. As those refusing to go so aptly put the matter, killing Tonkawa cannibals is one thing, but nothing good has ever come from trying to kill the white man.
