    I agree there are some diamonds in the bunch of dirt but I don't get why the side-characters should be funnier than the main characters.

    well I never said anything about the simpsons I'll agree with you on that, I understand its love/hate with seinfeld but the fact you say can come up with it, its easy to say that after someone already did. some episodes are dumb, but an episode like "The Soup Nazi" is funny to most people

    Of course. I'd forgive it if I found it entertaining but I don't. It's not funny or entertaining. It's just a load of crap anyone could come up with. Dunno if it's just the re-runs of simpsons but I don't find The Simpsons very amusing either, just slightly entertaining.
