  • I've been to over 15 countries, beautiful known cities like Paris, Rome, Munchen... and I must say Kraków is the one that amazed me the most, with its cozy and romantic atmosphere and so many nice and polite people. I think if anyone says bad things about Poland they are either ignorant, with primitive thoughts about eastern europe, or just have a hole to fill in themselves, by offending people.

Greetings from Brazil, and thumbs up if you think so too!

  • @donittto Unfortunately the image of Poles being anti Semitic is encouraged by anti Polish far right nationalist organisations in Poland such as Radio Maria and others which get a lot of publicity in other countries. There is very little anti Semitism in Poland other than these anti Polish elements.

  • @alanheath Many Poles know history of their cities. They are in Poland but they are different cathegories.Like I said it's a matter of taste and knowledge. Why Kraków is on Unesco heritage list and Gdańsk not? Not because it was rebuilded.Warsaw was rebuilded as well and it is on that list. Many people have problem with Kraków(usually not well educated foreigners) 'cause they don't know what they are looking at there. For Americans usually the best is that what is big and glammy:)))

  • @MrThorn88 I don't think that most people can tell if something has been rebuilt or not. But they are both in Poland and so will be compared.

  • @alanheath Well...It's a matter of taste but Krakow is original and Gdańsk was rebuilded from zero so it's about 50 years old:) Krakow is Unesco world haritage site and Gdańsk is not.Krakow is one of the best example of gothic plan and renaissance, gothic and romanesque style in Europe.Gdańsk is beautiful but not that valuable in case of historic architectural value.I prefer Kraków architecture and atmosphere but Gdańsk is my number 2.They are different cathegories and shouldn't be compared.

  • Visit Zagreb it's very very similar to Krakow.

  • Kraków is nice but I prefer Gdańśk.

  • @2912770 u must be aware many jewish people still live in Poland,Krakow is one of the cities where they live i once bought klezmer music fom one jewish guy in Kazimierz district, jewish trips are standards here in Krakow. Racist people are everywhere ,in each country but that does not mean they represent the attitude of the whole country. Greetings!!

  • @2912770 :) i know trips from israel are being held with presence of a guard and it is standard but it is a bit suprise for us. One teacher from polish school which every year hosts israelian youths for exchanges said about one guy who thought poland is strongly antysemitic and wanted to give a speech to polish pupils what he thinks about it,after he came and spent time during the exchange he tore his speech:) this document about it is somewhere here on youtube.
