  • why does the compressor need to be turned on separately? do you always have to turn it on/off when you're about to turn on/off the locker?

  • @ligyro By providing separate switches, your air compressor can be used for other needs such as tyre inflation and camping accessories. ARB Air Lockers do require the engagement of an air compressor and for further details, you should contact your local ARB store or stockist or check out our website.

  • howmuch does it cost?

  • Pricing varies from country to country. Check with your local ARB dealer for pricing.

  • huh?

  • 3)BOILING WATER TO HEAT UP A RING GEAR !!! those clowns aren't touching my car!!!!. water will cause corrosion if not fully and completely dried, you don't want corrosion on your diff gears, or contaminated oil for that matter. (the time it takes to dry it properly the ring gear would have cooled significantly, making the whole process pointless) an oven, oil bath, or induction heater is preffered.

It might be SO EASY to do, but to do it RIGHT is a different story.

  • 2) you need to set bearing preload before setting backlash, set preload then adjust backlash by turning both bearing adjusters the same amount (wind one in, the other out). setting preload then adjusting backlash will again change the preload setting.

  • 1) they check the backlash on the old diff and reset the new diff to the same backlash. How do they know the old diff is set right? backlash (and other high tolerance specifications) should be set to manufacturers specifications. not just 'to what it was before'.

  • @btarrh They ARE crazy... i was expecting this install video to be at least 10 min. long... instead they run through the major aspects of the job as fast as the guy can talk, without any attention to detail.

  • can i install it on my tundra 2010 ?

  • @Sauron767 air, if your going to be using it on road to.

  • which is better air compressed or mechanical?

  • @killerkowalczyk

research OX Lockers, or Auburn E Lockers

  • is there anything similar to ARB lockers that you can engage mechanically rather than with an air compressor?
