  • also watch one of my other videos, "lucidissima face" by francesco cavalli

  • are you sure? its sounds exactly like her though

  • Tessa had a beautiful Soprano voice and will be greatly missed, however Filia, the main Soprano voice on this recording is Janet Coxwell. Tessa Bonner sings one of the echo parts.

  • @charlieofmanyjobs can you please show me some solo janet coxwell?

  • Tessa Bonner passed away on 31 December 2008, RIP. A terrible loss to the performance and promotion of early music, it's some consolation that she made so many recordings which we can continue to enjoy for many years to come.

  • Yeah it´s a shame, I was looking for a while to find out who sung this piece and when I found out I also found out she had died

  • where can i find a translation for this lovely piece of art?

  • if you have any newer recordings of the Tallis Scholars, she will also feature on the high soprano line on those.

  • if you search for Patrick Hawes Quanta Qualia Janet coxwell is on the top voice line

  • I'm 110% certain that this recording of Filia's lament features Janet Coxwell.

  • This echo on 3:1o is so nice... Were is this recording from? I would like to serach the CD because this clip sounds distorted in the end...

    Tanx

  • Thanks for the download. Amazing and very touching piece of Carissimi and Good voice, sorry for the lost. ( a bit ashame though for the non Italian pronunciation).
