This is a test run, to see how well the Behringer BCF 2000 controls Ardour and how easy or hard it is to sync separately recorded sound, back to the video. It turns out that it is pretty easy with Cinelerra.

Equipment used: Canon 5d mk2 camera, Rode K2 microphone, Behringer BCF2000 midi controller, Omega Lexicon.

Software used: Linux Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, Ardour, Jack, Cinelerra.

@jpbouza I am aware that Blender can be used as an editor, though haven't spent enough time with it, to make use of it. For what I do, I believe that Cinelerra is a better choice.

I would like to spend some time with blender, because I know that it is powerful and much more versatile than most people realize, especially for things like photography.

The Lexicon Omega works out of the box on with the Linux distro's that I use (Ubuntu 10.04 & Debian Squeeze, both 64bit) no extra drivers needed.

i've been searching for info on how to get cinelerra connected to ardour via jack. is there any chance of seeing a tutorial on that? :D

or could you perhaps point me to some tut or documentation on how to set that up?
