  • I am also thinking of getting one for WoW, does the macbook pro get hot while playing? also is the laptop quiet while playing? the framrates looks fine to me, but these are justsome questions i have

  • @sloperider95

It does get a bit hot. I suggest running a program to control the fan speed and propping it up to allow air to get underneath.

  • Cool. I hope Cataclysm runs on this mac smoothly. I am getting my new 13' macbook pro tomoroow and I hope I will enjoy wow on mac :)

  • @sulkhan it has been running very smoothly so far. My FPS have stopped being so sporadic like it was in the weeks before cata ( 45 one second, then 5 the next).

  • @atmsk804 i have been getting about 17 with this computer with a wiped HD can you please help D:!?!?! I also had that sporadic prob myself but it went from 17 to 3.

  • @soryn305 Blizzard has said they have been having problems with certain nvidia graphics and they are working on a solution. I say play around with you video settings, turn sun shafts off for sure tho.

  • im not a big fan of the 13inch wich s why im switch to pc and using my television as the monitor. and im building a computer for the fist time :)

  • I plan to buy a 13 inch macbook pro with intel i5. Since the model you are playing on is over 2 years old, do you think that this newer one would run just as good? I'm so hesitant.

It's the intel that I'm worried about. I hear so many things: i7 is the way to go, i5 is a big difference. But I can't afford the i7, which is why I plan to buy the 13 inch which is i5.

  • what if i have a 13inch macbook pro 2009 model with 8gbRAM 160gigdrive

  • HDD or SSD???

  • @atmsk804 jus recently since the lastest patch i have been having sporadic fps problems going from 70 all the way down to 10, i have the 15 inch intel core i7 macbook pro and i have had it a little under a year. Do you kno any solutions for my problem?

  • @atmsk804, Hello, i am wanting to buy the 13" macbookpro 2010 model. with 4gig ram 250 gig hdd 320m grpahics card and the core2duo. i am wanting to play wow on good or higher settings, with a but of tweking to my prefrence. how much fps would i get in populated areas or raids? WITHOUT the mac recording system, please help me. (also, i think it would run well but without dedicated graphics it kinda worrys me and will it perform with out dedicated graphics?) thanks for your time.

  • @sloperider95 im talking by experience: Macbooks cooling system rocks while its quiet it sits on the back blowing the air up and not down on the table. (Its cool at all times, while quiet)

  • my macbook pro used to get really hot while playing and was wuite annoying, but it was running at like 120+ fps, i suggest capping your fps at 50-60, as this will prevent the graphics card from working too hard and will keep the computer quite cool

    specs:

    macbook pro 2010 15"

    2.4ghz core i5

    4gb RAM

    nVidia 330 GT
