I always thought Dragon Warrior sounded better than Dragon Quest. Hence, I was kind of disappointed when they switched it back for DQ8.
That, and my mind instantly goes "Dairy Queen 8?"

@Cowdude7 But DQ games were never released in Europe until DQ8.

@JuicyPlayer It MIGHT be the European version considering it's a ROM (I don't have a camera to record it from my TV) but I'm not sure.

You put Shinori as your name. Which is actually a name in Japan, but it's female.

@Nightwind0 I was picking Japanese characters that look most like L, O, and T. I'm not sure what I actually spelt but it was meant to look like Loto, which is the canon name of this guy IIRC.

@EliroX904 I know. I was just telling you what you spelled. If you are curious, Loto would be ろと using those characters.

@Nightwind0 I know. That was pretty interesting, though.

Except for the ocean not having the white "coasts", the Japanese floor/wall tiles look exactly like I remember it on the English version. I don't know why your English version has some differences. I think those walls are from DW2... Maybe the European version has DW2 walls or something.

@Cowdude7 I'm starting to think this is the PAL version too, because my actual cartridge is different (I recorded this from a ROM)
But the point still stands, the English version wins for having better graphics and a save feature.
