Vatican backs Obama as Nobel Peace Prize Winner

The Vatican supports U.S President Barack Obama as the winner of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for promoting international peace and nuclear disarmament.

The Vatican says that this important recognition can help the president to continue this difficult and essential work for the future of humanity. Thus hope will lead to positive results.

Obama visited the Pope for the first time in July, during the G8 meeting. During the meeting, the Pope and the President discussed abortion, immigration in the U.S and the conflict in the Middle East.

Funny thing is the nominations for the peace prize took place before he became president. I think this prize is for being anyone besides Gorge Bush.

@fromhell1980 the requirement is that any woman who visits the pope should cover their heir, shoulders, and knees and wear ALL black. If a Catholic queen visits the pope she should wear all white. The current Catholic queens that can wear white are: Queen Sofia of Spain, Queen Paola of Belgium, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, and a few other monarchs. Im not sure what the color traditions mean but thats the way that its been for a while.

I dont really understand why the Vatican would support such a liberal person as Obama. Obama is pro-choice, a gay rights activist, makes every effort to secularize America and the list could go on and on.

And while a group of members in the church involved themselves in Satanic Pedophilia, (read "Lucifer's Lodge") That does not mean the rest 1.4 billion catholics are pedophiles.

Nobel peace prize? For what? Because the Pope remained silent while the U.S killed a million + indigenous Iraqi children, women and men in Iraq. The U.S had these people killed because the Pope fears any other religion, but their own. Now they want everyone to worship their Pagan God! God damned pedophiles!
