Excellent Recreation, Right on the money.
Sioux City Flight 232 Crash:
United Airlines Flight 232, a scheduled flight between Denver and Philadelphia via Chicago. On July 19, 1989, the Douglas DC-10 (Registration N1819U) suffered an uncontained failure of its number 2 engine which destroyed all three of the aircraft's hydraulic systems. With no controls working except the power levers for the two remaining engines, it broke up during an emergency landing on the runway at Sioux City, Iowa, killing 110 of its 285 passengers and one of the 11 crew members.

CVR Transcript of the 7 seconds of tape here:

Captain: Left, Left, Left!
Avionics: Whoop Whoop, Pull Up! Whoop Whoop, Pull Up! Whoop Whoop, Pull Up!
Co-Pilot: We're Trying, We're Trying, We're Trying!

  • Just a little tip. There is no "We're Trying, We're Trying, We're Trying!". He's saying "Everybody Stay in Brace!" You should really consider taking out the "Excellent Recreation" statement. Does not apply to this video

  • @StCatharinesRailFan8 He's not saying 'Everybody stay in brace' because that is not what he put himself as saying on the NTSB Report, but okay buddeh

  • When did you do this? In 2nd grade?

  • or you can watch the documentary, or even the actual footage from a local news camera... why settle for this?

  • Fuckin sucks animated

  • i enjoyed the part after 0:22

  • This is video is good for seeing the orientation and roll of the main structure upon ground contact (calculated and assumed from black-box data). The fire and smoke would cover this up, just like in the actual footage. That, I believe, is what this video was to show given all the false reports of the fuselage turning end-over-end as stated by the NTSB. Good and interesting work.

  • excellent piece of crap YOU LOSER

  • wheres the fire animation. This is some amateur shit.

  • Worst recreation I've ever seen...
