The word 'lame' comes fro the Anglo-Saxon Old English. The Anglo-Saxons used it as a term to describe someone who has survived an impairment that affected their mobility. Not as a term of abuse.
Fact: most people are likely to become lame as they get older unless they die earlier.
Language that gives people dignity please.
