criminal; his family is deeply rooted in the field. His mother was a
well respected Juke Box singer in the state of Alabama, his father was
a famous club promoter in the city of Chicago, and his brother is the
notorious Soul Snatcher Yoson Tala. It was only natural that Bobo
himself ventured off into the field as well, he first began rocking
the mic at local clubs that featured open mic-nights, along with other
members of the T.A.L.A.
"I never had an epiphany, it just came slowly . . . it really happened
after we smashed a couple of local open mic's and the people sang our
sh@# with us! I knew right at that moment this could be something,"
said Bobo who took his stage name from a Latin jazz percussionist from
the late 60s.
When I first crossed the path of young Bobo in the background of our
meeting was a video recording of one of his open mic smashing! The
first thing that I've noticed about him is that he is very confident,
and when on the mic he is very aggressive & commands attention. One
must realize that when performing for large audiences the more
animation displayed the more crowd interaction you have. Since most
musician's make their money from performing, you want to leave a
lasting impression on your audience. An impressed participant spreads
the word and brings more fan's, which in turn equals more money! Bobo
has already mastered one of the most precious rules in Hip-Hop, stack
your money.
