After rinsing out the whitening shampoo it is time to condition the coat. Since Bobtails are not supposed to be soft coated the choice of conditioning and if so just how much to condition, is a very personal choice. For pets conditioning helps keep the coat from breaking so easily, helps make the coat easier to groom and of course helps give the dog a nice fresh smell. Just don't use perfumed conditioners or those with skin treatments as those almost invariably irritate a dog's skin. Applying and massaging in the conditioner is the same as with the shampoos so by this point you should be becoming very familiar with the process and your dog should be accepting it more readily, unless he/she is starting to get tired of the who production. It happens but you need to remain firm and let them know this is part of their lot in life. Yes beauty has it's price but in the end it is all well worthwhile.
