Bergen Pepperkakeby 2009 (Gingerbread town)

Despite the site being broken into and the town smashed up, Bergen's gingerbread town was rebuilt and repaired in time for Christmas 2009. It's a shame the smell can't be captured on DV but take my word, it was wonderful. This shows one of the 'suburbs' on display, occupying about a fifth of the total area. It is created, I believe, by local groups and schools on an annual basis for what has become a festive tradition for the region.
