The background instrumentation reminds me of old-fashioned English child's programs, like Camberwick Green and Bagpuss.
The overall song just exudes the innocent and childlike quality, that comes with memories of saggy cloth cats and small villages in the British countryside. Irresistible.

Lovely sentiments. My husband grew up in Marpole Bridge in England and watched Camberwick Green, and the Magic Round About ,so he has shown me clips of them on youtube. He loved in childhood in the countryside, and now we reside in Victoria BC, which is similar to a small degree. I believe he still has the LPs, too! Thank you for your kind comments. All the best.
