The one thing that's not like the rest: eating meat. It affects other sentient beings, helpless sentient beings at that. My goal is no longer to necessarily convert other people to veganism, doesn't seem plausible. Instead, I remind omnivores of a shared value they have with vegans and vegetarians: animal well-being. You want to eat meat, but you still want the animals to have the best lives they can and die painlessly right? Changing the meat industry can be a shared goal, am I right?

  • I'm 12. Lol syke! I'm 17 and a vegetarian. Actually, the reason I became one is because my family has a history of diabetes and I was looking to improve my lifestyle. Cutting out junk foods was tough, so I eat junk food in moderation and became a vegetarian as well. I miss meat, but it was worth it for the health benefits :)

  • @Partyplox Listen...The thing is...the world wont end on December 21st...get over it

  • I'm almost 13 a couple of days and I'm sitting here in bed hey I wonder if I became a vegetarian if it would make my body feel better and I would have to not say I vaulenteered to eat an animal but I don't know if I could do I would have to give up so much of my favorite foods I'm not a whiter but once I start I won't stop but I love chicken and hamburger but if it save those poor animals I will do it!

  • who else is tring to give their life to god before december 21st?

  • When you become a vegetarian, can you still eat animal crackers?

  • @dancers500 I am 16 :P nah!

  • @flavius717

I really need to research into that myself. First you need to identify what it is you mean by "humanely." Sufficient space, social interaction, all-around good living conditions, painless and stress-free death---these are some characteristics one might include under the umbrella of "humane." If I were you I would check around for smaller, local or semi-local farms and companies. Generally, the bigger the company, the bigger the neglect for animal well-being. That's my understandin
