Well, there is a tank replacement for the Hyper in the US...

I have been a fan of Ducati since the 60s. Started with a little 98 and ended with a pair of RT450s for a kicker. If Ducati will ever realize that they had the supreme adventure bike in the RT450 and just build say a 900 or 1000 cc version of the RT theres no need to pull a Bill Gates and try to make a sport bike LOOK likes its running like an off roader. Sill live for another Ducati Mega Thumper. Your project sounds worthy however, go fro the gold !

make it "A" adventure pretty please! I like this bike but the front looks really goofy and in tru Monster styling, the engine looks vunerable bolted onto the bottom of that frame.. mmh i can rules this one out.. back to the GS and KTM video!

get a klr 650...cheaper and better for the off road. A ducati in the woods is like a princess mowing the grass or cleaning the toilet or something..

@Reconcile7 In a weird way the point was that these bikes aren't the delicate little flowers that people make them out to be.

Decent vid, but I have a few questions. First, what's the range on this bike? The dealer I went to said he wouldn't recomend this bike for adventure riding because it's got a small tank and there aren't any aftermaket replacements. When I was last looking at one I noticed a bunch of delicate looking and exposed bits that were just waiting for rocks and brush to snap them off. How durable is this beast?
Definitely go for the -A badge and see what happens, I'm quite looking forward to it.....

@Glissade195 We had the advantage of a long range tank courtesy of California Cycleworks, which sorted the range. There are indeed delicate and exposed bits, but Ducati has a bashplate and there are aftermarket oil cooler guards available.
Durability, well it only spent the summer with us, but I was near enough to taking it to the Arctic when another Manufacturer bowed out.
