see: http://koreanovernight.com for the list of the most commonly used popular korean vocabulary words. You'd be amazed how simple it is to understand Korean when you know 53% of what's being said.
To understand 53% of Korean, webster's says you only need to know 100 vocab words!!!
ranks are based on how much output, in terms of scholarly work the faculty/ affiliated members putout.. so it's about right i think

haha yeah its in episode 2. Basically they make a big fuss about him graduating from MIT and the president of SK ask why he came back (hinting that he could make more money in the states than in SK). A few episodes later he quits that job and his boss desperately begs him not to leave.
HAHA personally its flattering because I’m from the states, but its not like I can take credit for how the colleges work around here.

USA FTW!!! :)
I had always heard that from students in Korea how much they want to come to the states for education. But I never really never understood why? And to top that off, I was watching City Hunter on Hulu and the main character graduated from MIT and they treated him like a god. LOL
