Cecil Washington & The Group - I Don't Like To Lose....
Fantastic slab of Northern Soul which came along at a time of despair for many of the regulars at Wigan.
During 'The Pop Period' of Wigan, the Casino was promoting it's own 'Classic' record label.
I'm sure no one begrudged those concerned, trying to move into the UK music scene, but it went 'Belly-Up' when a 45 release was withdrawn from the UK charts with the label accused of 'fixing' Regional Sales.

Last night I had the pleasure of hearing this live! That's right, Cecil treated the men on a retreat to live version backed up by this video streaming in the background. We were BLESSED to get the opportunity to hear this great man sing and treat us to his years of wisdom.

That's one of the things I love about You tube. Some old obscure record such as this gets posted on here and you get people who were related or that knew the artist posting things like this. Respect to your dad for this tune !!
