Glenn Tilbrook sings the Des o Connor song Dick a Dum Dum at the Barbican Hall on Tuesday 9th March 2010 along with Chris Difford and Dorrie Jackson on Backing Vocals.
I always get upset when people laugh at the original, highly evocative recording of this song by Des O'Connor. Written by the one-and-only Jim Dale Dick a Dum Dum reminds me of my childhood in 1960's London, where I lived in close proximity to the famous Kings Road. Thank you, Glenn, for a wonderful rendition, but I still prefer Des' version.
@1958RBS Totally agree.
