The project deals with digital inclusion of senior citizens. In Serbia, only 3% of seniors use Internet. There is no serious efforts on overcoming the digital gap between younger and older citizens. This topic is not traditionally dealt within Serbian senior oriented CSOs, which usually aim their efforts on supplementing state institutions who reduced senior care to fulfilling their basic life needs.
The project "Silver Surfers" will enable cultural and social inclusion of senior citizens (pensioners over 65 years old) in local community through digital networking, by teaching them how to use computer technologies and Internet.
