LMN J Music Final 2011 Countdown will begin sometime within the next 10 days. Please vote now for your favorite songs released between December 1, 2010 and November 30, 2011 from the forms below.

On to this week's countdown!

First, we have here the second prototype of a potential new design that may be used in 2012. The design is similar to what was used back at the start of the year - and near identical to the one featured in the "LMN J Music Chrismas Songs Countdown 2010."
Pros of this design: minimal portion of the video clips covered by text, info regarding the release dates of the songs and debut rank displayed, color cordination for RISE, DROP, DEBUT and STAY etc
Cons of this design: minimal space to display Japanese text due to lack of space, may become boring due to the overwhelming simplicity of the design itself.
Your opinion(s) with regards to this design is very valuable as well.

So we have 10 Debuts - which means a third of the countdown is new music - although only 3 of them reached the Top 10. As much as I love the no.1 artist and song, the no.2 song would have ranked above the no.1 song had it not been for a substantial favoring of the no.1 song from viewer voting.

The song meanings in both of the Top 2 songs are so deep and, shall I say, "mature" that I am tempted to listen to them night after night, captivated in absolute bliss and romance.
Most viewers probably did not expect no.3 to rank that high, but it is well deserved. I love all 3 songs featured in that Single (the second track is preferrably the best) and the maturity element expressed above also applies here.

No.12 and 8 both surging this week: no.12 taking over no.13 as the absolute amazingness of that song has come back to strike my note, and no.8 because the song is simply one of few true J-Pop gems released this year by a solo artist.

No.17 would have ranked higher had I had a chance to listen to the full song. As for no.11, great song - will likely rise in the coming weeks.


At the moment, this remains the last official weekly countdown of the year. I will try to do a "LMN J Music Top 50 Countdown" sometime this month as the last countdown of the year to cover all the gems released in December as well as featured in this week's previews. The Elimination rule won't apply in that countdown so songs that have been previously eliminated may make an apperance :)

And these previews are truly amazing, wouldn't you agree. The new Royz is as close to perfection as I could imagine. UNiTE simply blew me away. "ProudiA" is the best song by BORN to date. It's been forever since I've last heard anything from 0801Ni209336 but this song is out of this world and I cannot wait to see the full PV. GRANRODEO is not up there amongst my favorite artists, but this new song is addictive like I never imagined. And LIGHT BRINGER....a lot of people are dissing this song for various ridiculous reasons but I simply do not understand what there is to not like about this song.

The previews were focused on songs that are likely not well known as some of the others, but songs also qualified for the next chart includ MUCC's "Arcadia," NEGA, NIGHTMARE, etc.

Nice countdown as always. I like the color scheme and the font is easy to read in the new design. I like the preview scheme as well. The only feature of the design I was not a fan of was the style of the number on the upper left corner and the style of the arrows as well. The LMN logo on the upper right corner is a nice touch. Keep up the good work.
