Just two weeks ago it appeared as if the New York Giants would cakewalk to another NFC East divisional crown. Fast forward to today and, as Lee Corso might say, 'not so fast my friend.' Washington pulled within one game -- and helped the Dallas Cowboys cause as well -- with their 17-16 Week 13 win over the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. Robert Griffin III was bigtime once again, but unlike in recent weeks, he needed help from his defense and from fellow backfield mate Alfred Morris, who rushed for over 100 yards to push his season total to over 1,100 on the year. SB Nation's KD Drummond recaps the pivotal Week 13 tilt.

And they're both in the opposite conference. You didn't say anything about winning the championship, just making it to the championship. heh heh heh

You don't need to throw the ball 30 times a game to win. Look at the Detroit Lions, Matthew Stafford just set a NFL record for passing attempts in a season and the Lions still go 4-12. It doesn't matter how many yards you gain, games aren't won by whoever has more yardage.
