Actually when you look at what hospitals do to you you almost have to be as brave to do it at a hospital as at home--planned labor, water broke at a certain time, contraction that come "on cue" as nature intended them, a baby that is born with specific hair color that the doctor picks etc.

What you said about the contractions just taking over, reminds me very much of the birth of my 3rd child. It seemed like, in no time at all, my contractions with her went from tolerable to all consuming, where I had no choice but to go with them. 1.5 hours later, she joined our family via water birth at a birthing center.

Im 6 months pregnant and I would like to just say that your a brave soul to not have your child in the hospital. Im not really good with pain LOL . And the hospital drug do me just fine lol but I think your brave to do that and go though the pain of labor. I wish I were that strong to stick out.
