A bunch of scientists abandoning the scientific method and trying to create God. Maybe these people should have become priests rather than physicists.
Someone took Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy WAYYYY too seriously. NO! Wait! I get it! Douglas Adams was not a science fiction writer, he was the Prophet of the Simulation! There is only one God, IBMac, and Douglas Adams is his Prophet. All hail the mighty Simulation (the answer is 42, we just don't know the right question....).
If we are living in a simulation, does that mean the dead still exist as a backup file somewhere? Could we hack into the simulation and bring the dead back to us?
This video uses the word "simulation" but I think that's the wrong word, because it implies that, if we are in fact the construct of an extremely advanced computer playing itself out according to sets of complex reality-rules, there is no reason to suspect that it's "simulating" some higher reality. It could be completely imaginative.
