  • I beg to differ regarding the taste. I think sugar flowers made from Royal icing is the tastiest of sugar flowers. By itself, its quite tasty but flavoring can be added to enhance flavor. it dosn't have any fat which makes it quite pleasant without the greasiness of buttercream.

It does dry quite hard but it melts on the tongue without leaving gummy buttery residue.

  • @carlasecret14 When you make the royal icing, when you pipe it out and leave it for hours or over night, it will be hard. To make the royal icing, you need about 1 2/3 cups of icing sugar per egg white. Add the icing sugar to the egg white a little at a time making sure that it is well combined. keep mixing till smooth. If it is too dry, add a tsp of water. If too thin, add more icing sugar.

    I hope this can help : )

  • I'm making this royal icing today but I'm not making the flowers till tomorrow. I the icing gonna harden? Please answer ASAP

  • @PuppySweets9 Yes, you can. The only problem is that it dries very hard. I would suggest mixing a little and testing it out on a cupcake first. It's edible and very tasty and you will be able to cut through your cake. Hope this helps.
