I feel sorry for people who think this is boring. I'm not even a history buff or anything, I just love information.

Omg, you people disgust me. This is seriously amazing! Think of all the stuff the ancient Chinese people were doing, think of the great things you could be doing like them instead of siting around complaining about "boring"! It's really fascinating information once you get out of your "this is boring because it's history and all history is boring" mindset. :/

@joejoejoe532 The Japanese pick the wrong fight ? LOL AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
they lost because they were gang rape by all sides of the world, just like the germans !... Imagine America -VS- the world ? - America would fall in three days !
remember vietnam ?, when america fought one on one ?
Imagine America -VS- Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Brittain, France, Canada, Korea ?.....You think victory is possible ?

@Liquidsback And they were powerful and ruthless. :D The west was just more so, and kept it going with a strong, stable power base. The Mongols weren't rulers, the Khmer were too small, and the Japanese picked the wrong fight with both China AND America at the same time! ;)

@joejoejoe532 Also, I which there was an episode on India. As well as the Arab Caliphate...
-
@joejoejoe532 And the Mongols weren't? What about the Japanese? The Khmer Empire? Yes, nothing but clean history. Did you know the Mongols killed more people than the Transatlantic slave trade and new world colonization combined? They were not surpassed until WW2 which was caused by Europeans, and Asians. Let's not forget Mao Zedong and him suggesting they use their dead country men as fertilizer.
-
@Liquidsback Yeah your right. the The first three dynasties were more or less the same country with power switches, but China from the Qin to Qing dynasty was more like another country.

@madhammudeux That means we advanced 500 years in 60...quite a catch up. We have still some path to go. And you are kind of right (its not medieval ages, more like mid 1850s technological level at the time) Nonetheless, a product of stagnation under a hyper conservative dynasty: not a time of history we are proud of. If the technological stagnation had not happened with the late Ming dynasty, we would be way ahead. :)
