This test apparatus is designed to perform the test described in MIL-PRF-24667C. This static friction tester measures static friction by pulling a sled of a known weight across a sample material. The sleds are made of steel and the underside is covered with vulcanized rubber to the specifications of MIL-PRF-24667C paragraph 4.5.1.2.

Tester Specifications

· Sled dimensions -- 5.75" X 4"

· Sled Weights -- 6 lbs +/_ 0.5 Lb.

· Speed of pull drive -- 12 inches per minute (Nominal)

· Power requirement -- 120 VAC

· Sample table -- 6" wide x 12" long.

· Maximum pull force -- 10 lbs.

· Overall dimensions -- 35" X 11" x 8" tall

· Uses Chatillon digital force gage -- 50 Lb capacity

· Chatillon Nexygen™ DF software is use to graph and record data from test.

· Designed to be used with a standard PC.
