good movie but some things needed to be done different.i havent seen the first one but im pretty sure the robot was supposed to knock out the power by itself.and it shouldve been 23 minutes longer.with explanations as to how keanu reeves turn into nano machines and suddenly stops the robot from destroying earth.

His body seemed like play gel because it was based on nano technology which is why he could assume human like form.

The original movie upon which this was based was before all the global warming stuff and was about man's use of destructive weapons and aliens sent warning to stop them and what they would do if they didn't.

@henkman00 Terminators came from the future and most had Arnold Swarzennegar in it except the tv show and maybe the last movie. While the transformers came from outer space.

If the aliens care so much about the planet but want to kill humans, why not hold the Earth hostage and say "you kill us, we denonate all nuclear weapons and turn the planet into a wasteland." Or better yet, maybe ask the aliens how to generate carbon free energy in a cost effective manner (better solar or fusion power) and/or how to counter act the effects of extra carbon already in the atmosphere.
