U.S. journalist Roxana Saberi is back home after an Iranian appeals court last month [May 11th] cut her prison sentence to a suspended two-year term. Saberi had been held in Tehran's Evin prison since January after she was arrested for working in Iran without valid press credentials. She was later accused of spying and convicted in a closed-door trial that her father said lasted less than an hour. Saberi gave a TV interview to VOA [Persian News Network]. Ravi Khanna has the details.

She said the video confession is a lie; does she mean that she lied in her confession? How can anyone trust a liar? How do we know that she is not lying right now? Would she say she was a spy if she was a spy? Was I born yesterday?
PS: VOA is the biggest liar of all.

She is very lucky getting out in one piece. There is no rule of law in Iran and as she said " There are varieties of groups with different interpretations of political situations." She is indeed lucky!
