the lcd, but i think the oled is completely powered by sony...the lcd they has overslept, so they had to use technology from samsung and built together a firm.

sony is not using any LCD technology of samsung and it is the opposite. a lot of japanese companies are buying from Taiwanese and Korean firm because the labor is cheap there. because of the increase of the demand of lcd tv, sony needed more lcd panels to buy and at the same time, samsung was intending to open a new plant so sony joined samsung. sony should not have joined samsung because samsung is copying a lot of the japanese technology. they should sue samsung for it.

yes, but sony has almost overslept the development of the lcd-technologie, so they had to cooperate with samsung and using the panel-technologie from them. samsung was faster and had has a powerful position early. this was the main-cause. of course, a common manufacture is cheaper. i don't know what they are doing, but they overslept the mp3 development, too. so apple is the new market leader.
i hope they fight, otherweise they are insolvent!!!! so bad !

yes, i know that apple is the new market leader. i think apple did a very good job on that. for the lcd panel, sony is not using samsungs technology and it is really the opposite. sony ensures the lcd panel but samsung is having a hard time keeping up. a lot of people misunderstand this part just because sony joined samsung for the lcd panel. after sony joined samsung with an lcd panel production, samsungs stock market increased rapidly. I have read a lot of article in english and japanese.

they simply share their glass cutting plant nothing else..........and by the way oled's have different glass sheets............sony has made first OLED TV .....till now no competitor............
