How to Record your Nintendo Wii Console
Part 1 (DVD Recorder method)

This tutorial was voiced and edited by Vdeogamer. I hope it helps!

In this tutorial, I show you guy's how to record footage from your Nintendo Wii console, by using a Phillips DVD Recorder. Now you may be asking, why can't I just use a regular old camera? Well, the quality on a camera is never as good as a DVD Recording. I do a qucik comparison within the tutorial to show you what I mean.

Although this tutorial was made specifically for the Wii, It should work for any other home console. A few minor adjustments may have to be made, but for the most part, It should work just fine.

There is an editing portion to the video, but for time purposes, I have decided to create it as a separate video. Once it is done and uploaded a link should appear right below this paragraph.

If there is anything you don't understand, or have questions about, feel free to send me a private message or leave a comment. I'll try to get back to you with an answer.

  • @Vdeogamer how do you record your voice? do you have to connect a mic or something?

  • @MrDBZliker I have a new tutorial for just such as occasion. It's at my channel in the playlist called How to Record your video game systems. The video is titled, How to Record Commentary with a USB microphone.

  • So....when you said "put them in the av in" did you mean just the wii, or both the tv and the wii cables. please answer

  • @BritishBanette I am not sure what segment you're referring to in particular, but here's how it should be setup. From the Wii, to the AV IN on the DVD Recorder, to the TV. Hope this helped. Let me know if you need more explanation.

  • hey, i wanned to ask how you connected your dvd recorder to your television.

can you make a short movie of how you connenct dvd recorder to television?

  • @DutchMCers I figure I might as well re-record this whole tutorial soon. I can do a much better job today. If I'm correct, our DVD Recorder was connected to the TV with an HD cable. It's one cable that goes from the HDMI out on the recorder, to the HDMI in on the tv. But if I get some time next weekend I will re-film this tutorial.
