This came out around the time that a lot of black Europeans were producing great music. You had Les Nubians, Eagle Eye, Seal and of course Neneh Cherry...I'm pretty sure the success of this single owes a lot to '7 Seconds' and it wouldn't surprised me if Stephen himself got inspired by it with it's descending chords and deep bassline. The album is so so good- To all the people who have the album called 'Spirit Tales' make sure you cop the original Swedish version of the album entitled 'Alone'

Bought album in 2000. Wrong time 4 me to bring back those memories. My eyes strt getting teary & the heart gets heavy.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL (one knows the downside f love but U want 2 know you're human & want that feeling back - I do and do and try not to think about the pain after the love)
