We spray and back roll primer and then sand with drywall sander-level 5

@bigfletch68 Yes, You need to set up a big sheet of cheep plexi glass on a wall so you can practice a bit and especially to figure out what tip works best for you. I think I was using a 525 not sure but experiment! Use a squegge to wipe down the plexi and start again until you get it right. Then set up 2 sheets of drywall tape to level 4 then spray. You realy need to test this so you are comfortable with how it comes out. Its so easy don't think for a minute this is hard to do it's not MARK 5

@marketsdata Got that right! I also use youtube as a place to learn how to do stuff, it's amazing the amount of knowledge one can gain on here from other's offering their experience.

Respond to this video... I have personally sprayed L5F with a Mark 5 and all purpose mud green lid. It turned out great . You could leave the texture which was very fine from a 521 tip and very little water added to mix.

The problem with this is that it's soft. I think the best would be spray APC then apply the Tuff hide

@low72 I totally agree with what you said! I am sure as with any professional product you must be experienced in the certain nuances with any one product. This guy came to us as a professional here in Northern New Jersey. So next time someone tells you their a pro ASK to see a finished job.

@marketsdata "this stuff sucks period" is because the guy you had do it sucks at his work. Only way to get something done right is do it yourself.

@marketsdata It is the best primer out there. Just not a true Level 5 finish as they attempt to market it as.

This stuff sucks period. We had a drywall contractor who said he was experienced in L5F applications and guess what it looks like shit. He used Tuff Hide after his level 4 and sanding. First he had what is referred to as fingering with the sprayer and this lead to even more problems. Point is you can still see the level 4 flats and nail runs along with butts. He did attempt to repair it but only made it worse
