I didn't have Undercover, so I went and bought it at a local record shop. I was lucky to get one in near mint condition, sometimes its a gamble buying records. This has become my favourite song from this album, not an overly favourited album by fans, but it certainly has its moments and is a much higher work than its follow up Dirty Work. Luckilly, the Stones came back after that disaster.

  • Ronnie riffin' Faces style while Keef weaves and Mick moans. What a jam night at the brasserie!

  • Yes, it is my favourite as well from Undercover. Click on the version in the box "Rolling Stones Pretty Beat Up I 1982" from "MrLetitbleed". Instrumental only. Very curious.

  • @daveedine I guess we should throw Charlie's great beat in there too. Great Stones' song written by Ronnie!

  • @steve0tiv0 Hey Steve don t forget the pumping fucking breakout bassline thats in this track.Great Bill Wyman whatsoever bassist.Period.

  • bassline like pumps from the heart...pretty beat up

  • VinylWindsor, buying a record can be a problem, however I bought many over the last decades at fairs and second hand shops, I was and am surrpised of the good condition they are useally in. Always take them our of the cover ofcourse for close inspection. Nice track you uploaded up here and the best in sound compared to the other uploads of the same song..

  • To this day, I do not know why Undercover receives such a bad rap. I happen to think it was easily their best record from the 1980's. I'm not sure if it's the violent themes on the record such as "Too Much Blood", or this track, or "Too Tough" or "Tie You Up", or what the case may be.

All I can say is that, as a kid, this vinyl was snap crackle popping due to being played constantly.

Not to mention the catchy "She Was Hot" is on this record.

  • Your sound quality makes this interesting. But I remember that I didn't like "Undercover "at all.Stones themselves will admit that they lost their spark in the 8T's.They had the sound of a bunch of rich miljonairs who'd seen it all,and became fucking blasé.They doggedly kept going on,'cause they didn't know what to do else, and were seriously hooked on adoring crowds. Not for nothing that their then and current setlist is largely comprised of pré 8T's standards.

  • I Have That Vinyl

  • This is really all about the record producer, rather than old style authentic stones playing.Very over produced (in my opinion)

  • Really?

Mick Jagger all the way but Ronnie's child.
