When I was 10 years old I became a mass server to better please God and the priest sodomized me about twice a week for the next 3 years. During this period of time I was getting beat up at home by my father at least several times a week and sodomized by the priest several times a week when I wasn't home. And at that age I was usually either at home, school, or the priests house at any given time.

@Joe80751 I find that horrific and wish you well in whatever form of 'healing' you can find to be of comfort. However, I was an altar-server for 11 years, went on weekend retreats etc and never got abused. It's perhaps worth putting in perspective that these are generally minute occurences in teh church and that possibly as much, if not more abuses take place/are committed by preachers in other churches (though less controversial obviously).Mybe not just an RC thing, but in all walks of life

Why is it soo common in the Church. Because well the Church has forgotten the true teachings of Jesus. The Church has put a road block on preist in getting married, they have gone against the laws of God. They have forgotten that men and women are made for each other. The True Teachings of Jesus are no where to be found in the Church, instead they rely on following pointless rituals

Your pride in your fucked up religion has you totally in denial. You're deluding yourself - which is one thing - but here you are trying to delude others. Oh, if only there was a hell for ignorant evildoers like yourself!

If a person or a priest is evil and vile that does not transfer over to the entire church. that is like blaming the general public for the crimes of the societies criminals.

@havock89

Absolutely! An indepependent (!) study into abuse in general (relating to all persons in all positions, secular or not) would make for interesting (though less controversial) reading.

John Highham described anti-Catholicism as "the most luxuriant, tenacious tradition of paranoiac agitation in American history". Historian Arthur Schlesinger Sr. has called Anti-Catholicism "the deepest-held bias in the history of the American people."
