  • search and you will find a good reason to fear. if you want to talk about what is "safer" lets be rational about it. its easy to loose objectivity when you are damn sure every doctor, scientists, big pharm and the governement is out to get you and your kids. paranoia kills more people than bad science.

  • @ekchamber

he's not saying that they are safer. the point being made is the hypocracy made by anti vaxers who will cry about the chemicals in vaccines while eating, breathing, and handling these same said chemicals (many times in much higher concentrations). it can all be chucked up to actually actively looking for a reason to fear and dispise something. want a reason to be again vax? you'll find it. want a reason to be against fire-retardant furnature? you'll find it. hat latex gloves?

  • The fact that vacines share common ingredients with other products does not make said ingredients any safer.

"Formaldehyde, as well as its oligomers and hydrates, are rarely encountered in living organisms."

Yes, "rarely". But not "not". A low level of it is normal in apples and grapes, just to bring an other example.

  • @UnstoppableLaughter Chlorine is not the same as HCl. Saliva contains a tiny amount of HCl.

  • u air head...

u said formaldehyde is in the human body?

Formaldehyde is highly toxic to all animals...

Formaldehyde, as well as its oligomers and hydrates, are rarely encountered in living organisms.

On 10 June 2011, the US National Toxicology Program has described formaldehyde as "known to be a human carcinogen". [Source: Wikipedia]

Does that mean that since our saliva contains HCl, we should go around drinking chlorine?! go back to elementary school, u fool

  • @StraightQuiroKid Holy shit. She is strong because she has yet to catch smallpox and die. Or diptheria. Let's see how she handles multiple strains of hepatitis, or how much she'll enjoy cervical cancer when HPV sneaks up on her. You're endangering your daughters life based on sensationalism and junk science.

  • @AdzRokka Oh, care to link us all to the exact numbers on that? How exactly is causation established between vaccines and sterility?

  • AAAAARGGGHH! Idiots make me angry! Vaccines are used to stop you from getting diseases that can cause a multidude of problems including INFERTILITY in adults! :)

  • @StraightQuiroKid

Wakefield's findings (the original perpetrator of the vaccine hype) have not been replicated; several attempts to replicate these findings have been unsuccessful (see Offit & Coffin, 2003). You are putting your daughter in great jeopardy by not having her vaccinated. There is no evidence for brain damage as a consequence of vaccines, but mountains of evidence of life-threatening disease as a consequence of not getting vaccinated. Don't kill your child.
