  • On the clovis, is the purpose of fluting for hafting the point to a shaft?

  • @kyletango Yes! It is believed that the flutes primary purpose was for hafting to a spear or knife handle. There are several other ideas as well, but hafting seems to be the the most accepted...

  • No one knows for sure how they fluted points, but most people believe is was done with direct percussion....
