**Review on CJ7 Movie... Made a mistake... "God of Food" is actually "The God Of Cookery"**

From the people that brought you Kung Fu Hustle
CJ7 is a movie about a dad ho can't afford to buy his son a toy called CJ1
He ends up picking up a toy from the garbage dump, which turns out to be an alien life form.

Opinion

This is not the typical Stephen Chow movie
Where you expect to be laughing your heads off
This movie is the subdued version of all his movies with repeated scenes of movies that he made a name for himself

However, what is commen when compared to most Stephen Chow films is that, he has made stars like Cecilia Chung & Karen Mok much more famous in King of Comedy and The God of Cookery

In this film are 2 featured stars:
- The teacher played by Kitty Zhang
- The young boy play by Xu Jiao, who is infact a girl

The lead character is the young girl instead of Stephen Chow

Now, what I disliked about this film:
- It does not have a strong story line
- Lack of humour which I expected to get from most Stephen Chow films

What I liked about this film:
- The marvelous acting by the young boy, or girl rather, in this film
- The cuteness factor of CJ7, is sure to win the hearts of many.

Disappointing to say, this film is only good enough to be for "Rental".

Futianhui: Stephen Chow 's CJ7 may not be one of the best of his films but it is still a movie with lots of hearts. I'd say it is still worthy of watching it on cinema's big screen. Rental of movie is suitable for people like you who wants to save a few bucks So stop going to the cinema & write stupid reviews.

The reviewer probably doesn't have small kids. My four-year-old loved it, and for most kids this movie is quite good (albeit a bit more violent than typical American children's fare). It also offers other levels of entertainment for the parents, just like All the best family movies offer. This is a different genre than Chow's other films--it is a family film--and I think it works well for it's target audience.
